    I’ve been cooking from this cookbook since I bought it, and it’s a priceless tool for those looking to make their own bread/condiments/accompaniments. I know I will continue to go back to this book to learn more, and hopefully feel confident enough to start my own bread. The fish tacos and Cubanos (using the mojo pork in the book) have been my favorites so far, but I’m not done making literally everything in this book yet!

    The ingredients are simple, and so far none of the recipes I’ve used have been too complicated or require you to spend all day in the kitchen for one meal. I look forward to purchasing his second book, and becoming a better cook!

    This book has got to be one of the highest quality cookbooks I’ve seen. Each recipe has numerous macro shots of the homemade food, serving as both an advertisement and an index to easily flip through.

    The book mostly focuses on quality ingredients such as homemade butter and cheese that compound with other simple recipes into a variety of basic to mid difficulty meals. However, the way that the recipes compound together both serves as a good starting cookbook, while giving the option to progress up to top class recipes that involve entirely made from scratch ingredients that can make amazing and completely custom dishes.

    I frequently both use this book as a reference and a list of new ideas to try, but it will take years to make it through all the recipes.

    I got this book for Christmas from a family member and it is my favorite. I have made multiple recipes and every time they came out beautifully, and so tasty.

    This cookbook seems to be geared for the cook who wants to make everything from scratch. The first section provides instructions on homemade, jams, breads, fermented vegetables, flavored butters, and sauces. These are all quality recipes that everyone should have access to.

    Many of the meal recipes are basic, and are aimed at people who want to enhance simple cooking; such as recipes for BLT, cheese boards, or a cobb salad. The more interesting recipes include gnocchi, Shoyu ramen, and braised pork, among others.

    Overall, this is a good cookbook for someone with a budding interest in cooking. It will provide everything you need to workup a variety of skills and progress to different levels. If you already feel advanced in your skills or are familiar with how to make the basics, a different book may be for you.
