Story of Best Friends navigating a life of grief, loss and secrets. The things that people dealt with behind closed doors were sadly very relatable. I read this book in one sitting and totally recommend it. Looking forward to reading more from Lucinda.

Lucinda Berry has once again shattered my heart. The depth of the emotional tides of her stories carry me away and drag me down into the pain, complexities, and heartfelt love. Plenty of suspense and mystery to keep her readers riveted all the while breaking our hearts. She’s amazing!

  3. Margaret Rovani

I started book and knew immediately I was invested in the characters. It captured my attention. I loved every paragraph and every character, so real. I could be any one of the characters, we all could. Wonderful book, beautifully written. Thank you. Regina

This is the second book I have read from Lucinda Berry and I’m in love with her stories and writing style. I am a such fan of stories written from different perspectives, giving the audience a chance to experience what each character is thinking & how they’re feeling which Lucinda does a great job of.

The Best of Friends was so captivating and a real page turner, I could not put this book down. At any & every opportunity I was reading trying to piece together what really happened & how the story would end. The ending was a total jaw dropper.

I loved this book & would give it 10 stars if I could. I hope Lucinda continues to write her beautifully written books, I am truly a huge fan.

Three friends. Three sons. Two Shots. One tragedy.

Wow! This story hit close to home for so many reasons. I actually had to put it down for a couple days because I have three sons (16,17, and 18) and one got in a car accident and it was just too much. But I picked it up when my head was in a better place and I finished it. I love the drama aspect of the book along with trying to figure out wth happened.

I related to a character or two in the book but, sadly, they didn’t seem to develop past that. I usually can remember characters and who is with who but it just didn’t happen here. Trying to remember who’s kid is who’s was a lot harder then I had hoped. Also, they kept referring to the night they don’t talk about and it killed me we never got to hear what that was.

I love multiple POV’s. That’s my jam and this book did not disappoint. Though I just felt like something was missing. It was a good story and the secrets that came out gave some good drama.

I have heard so many good things about this author so I had to try her out. This book was good. Maybe I expected a little more but I finished it. I have other books to read by this author and though this one wasn’t perfection I have high hopes for the others.

I really enjoyed the book, especially all the twists and turns. I can’t believe that it ended the way it did, I definitely wasn’t expecting it. I really like books by this author, so this one won’t be my last.
